I have been told some of my storyboard work is less loose than some like it, but so far my clients have been very happy with the work. I generally ask for the amount of hours they’d like me to work on the project. I generally draw so quickly, I have plenty of time to add color, highlights, and shadows. I also have worked on-site where I am instructed to draw, say, someone climbing up the side of a box of cereal, or create a group of characters to portray people in a script for an infomercial.
One client declared her amusement that my note-taking was composed of drawing rough thumbnails of what the storyboard required rather than writing down the words she was saying.
