party time

This is a fairly straightforward article about entertaining that ran in Marriage Partnership. To keep costs down I found a number of stock images to use. The editor liked this one, and I put the spread together. The day it was due to go to the printer, the editor noticed that the people at the party were holding wine glasses and champagne flutes, including the girl front and center. Evidently, enough of the MP readers are rabid teatotalers, and an image of people at a party drinking alcoholic beverages would surely prompt a massive letter-writing campaign and accompanying MP boycott.

I was able to airbrush out two of the glasses, but the one being held by our grilling girl was too difficult due to the pattern on her top. So I photographed a bottle of water at 4pm and plopped it in right before deadline.
