awana calendar toppers (part 1)

I made these for CPT‘s Awana pages. I wanted all the objects that appeared in the corners to be small, and tactile—something a child could hold in his hand. As CPT was a quarterly magazine, three months appeared in each issue. The accompanying craft page necessitated twice as many right-hand pages as left-handed ones.

BTW, that’s a fake frog coated in Karo syrup, which was left over from a recipe from a previous article. (The syrup made it look wet, and doesn’t evaporate as quickly as water.)
