I’ve noticed some paperbacks of reprinted classics will flourish some famous fine art painting on the cover (whether it has anything to do with the story or not) slap on a font and call it good to go. As a challenge to myself I did that with this design, but instead I used TWO paintings—“Don Manuel Osorio Manrique de Zuniga” by Francisco Goya, and “Lady Agnew of Lochnaw” by John Singer Sargent shredded into each other like some tooth and nail savage mash-up.

If anyone asks, I’m claiming “fair use”.
