canterville ghost
“The Canterville Ghost” is a marvelously dry and wryly hilarious short story by Oscar Wilde about an American family who moves to England and buys Canterville Chase, which is haunted by the befuddled and long-suffering ghost of Sir Simon.
I’ve wanted to illustrate this story for years. Nobody has asked me, mind you, so I thought I’d crank out a cover for myself.
Some of these books I’ve designed as paperbacks, and some I’ve designed as hardbacks at a larger size. This book I’ve designed as an illustrated book and I used Chronicle Books’ bilingual series as a template.
